Suzy Sclater

Suzy Sclater is a highly-experienced event marketing and project management professional having spent more than 12 years in international events management.

Suzy started her career at BIS Strategic Decisions, an IT advisory firm. Spending 10 years at the organisation, through two acquisitions and business transformations, she gained experience in both the UK and USA in logistics, marketing and project management roles within the conference division. Suzy's role as Events Marketing Director with her insightful understanding of marketing strategy - through all aspects of direct marketing to the key role of partners in driving registrations -- played an integral role in growing the business from $0.5m to $8m during her time with the firm.

Suzy left Giga Information Group (now part of Forrester Research) and became an independent conference management consultant in 2003. Her assignments varied from conference production, speaker recruitment, marketing strategy and onsite event coordination to overall project management of profitable global events from concept to completion. Suzy teamed up with Carol Baines in 2004 to co-found EMS.

Suzy holds a BSc in Catering Administration from Bournemouth University.
