Case Study: Build European and Asia-Pac conferences & exhibits

Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on contingent work with headquarters in California, wanted to launch their successful annual HR and Procurement conference – established in the US for over 10 years – in to Europe.

SIA understood the need for local expertise to realise their expansion plans and launch their international conference business and chose EMS to support this initiative. They selected EMS as their preferred partner to coordinate all aspects of conference management in 2009 and we are now in our 10th year of support.

In 2010, the first European Contingent Workforce Strategies (CWS) Summit we organised for SIA exceeded expectations with 270 delegates in attendance. Since then, it has grown year-on-year to over 400 delegates. EMS is not only tasked with driving attendance, but acting as full-service provider to their 20+ conference sponsors and exhibitors, managing the multi-track conference agenda and speakers, coordinating all venue logistics, managing suppliers and acting as overall project manager with financial reporting responsibility.

The success of the CWS Summit in Europe led SIA to engage EMS to launch an APAC version of the conference in Singapore in 2013, which again, exceeded its first year attendee target.

SIA then commissioned EMS to launch a second conference for senior executives of the European staffing industry. In November 2014 the inaugural Executive Forum Europe took place at The Grange St Paul’s in London. With almost 300 executives participating, plans are underway for the fourth Executive Forum to be held October 2018.
